My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annabella is doesn't know that she is not a spring chicken!! She acts like a three year old.. but she is approx 10 years old and 13 lbs and just a happy a little girl as you will find. She looks like schnauzer/poodle mix . She is house trained, leash trained, gets along well with the other dogs, just had her dental done, and is missing a few teeth, but she eats fine. She is always smiling and just dances at supper time. She is going to make a great friend for someone. She has been treated for heartworm and is on a monthly preventative.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. The application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
