Maliah's Story...
Born November 2015, Maliah is primarily white with red and black patches on her short, low maintenance coat. Her personality is submissive, gentle, affectionate, and playful. She likes to be with people. She will quickly roll over on her belly in submission when meeting someone. We have started leash walking and crate training with Maliah. Adult weight is upper 30's. Maliah has been spayed, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, tested negative for heartworms, and given heartworm prevention. She enjoys interacting with other dogs and has not paid much attention to the foster family's cats or horses. Ideal placement is with a kind person who will continue her confidence boosting and basic training. A home without unpredictable, young children is preferred. Email petsavernc@bellsouth.net for an adoption application and to schedule visitation with Maliah.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maliah, a Chapel Hill Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Chapel Hill, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Chapel Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chapel Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chapel Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chapel Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
