CallieCP's Story...
Location: Hummelstown, PA
Approx DOB: July 2008

Callie is a beautiful, long-hair calico cat looking for a new home. Callie is described as a lap cat and loves to curl up on your lap when she’s ready to snuggle. She’s also perfectly content to do her own thing when you’re busy. She loves to play with strings, ribbons, and yarn.

Callie gets along with other cats but isn’t crazy about dogs. She would do best with older children. She does ok with younger children but if they move too quickly towards her, Callie will growl, hiss, and run away. She’s shy around strangers so would likely find a place to hang out if you have company.

Callie is spayed, declawed, and current on vaccines. She has been a solely indoor cat. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting her, please contact Brittany at 717-979-3931 or BabyBrittany890@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CallieCP, a Carlisle Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
