ChimbaCP's Story...
Location: New Cumberland, PA

Chimba is hoping to find a foster or forever home without small children. Chimba is estimated to be about 9 years old. The family that took him in has a young child and another on the way. Chimba is a sweet guy. He can be shy when first meeting him but once he gets to know you, he’s a super nice boy and loves to be petted. Chimba isn’t crazy about the noise with young children and often hides. His family doesn’t think he’ll be comfortable once the kids are even more active.

Chimba was once an outside cat but now enjoys living indoors. He goes outside occasionally but stays near the house and comes right back in. Chimba is litter box trained and has never had an accident. He eats dry cat food and gets soft food once a day as a treat.

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Chimba, please contact Stephen at 717-903-2451 or smatushesk@hotmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ChimbaCP, a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
