Nux's Story...
Aarf adopts in the Richmond, Va area.

My name is Nux, I am a 4 1/2 month 25 pound hound mix.
I am super sweet, and love nothing more than to be pick up and hugged. I am fearless and get right in the middle of my very large foster dog brothers during play time. Mom says I don't know what's good for me, but I disagree.

Being with people is my favorite thing, and I will do anything to get your attention. I'm very vocal, and my grunts and little noises will make sure you know how much I love you. My favorite trick is to act like I can't get on the sofa by myself so someone will rush to my aid and I'll get the attention I want.

I do very well with my dog brothers. I'm also super interested in my cat brothers, but alas I have yet to get close enough to them to know how I really feel. So if you're looking for a constant companion and someone to hug, I am the one for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nux, a Richmond Hound (Unknown Type)/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Boxer for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Boxer breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
