There is the right home for Lana out there we just need to find it . Please keep sharing. Lana is with a trainer right now and doing well - here is a note from Karen:
Lana needs an adult only home. It is important that all the adults in the home equally share the responsibility of her daily care and training so she learns to respect, obey and bond with all the people in the home. Lana needs a home with clear, consistent rules and boundaries and strong leadership where she will not be "babied".
I would recommend a home with no other pets, however she could do well living with a large dominant male who doesn't tolerate her bossiness.
Lana will need a formal training program in place to make the adoption transition successful.
She needs regular structured physical outlets to direct her energy: ie biking, jogging etc. She also needs mental stimulation and is quite smart at learning new things. She enjoys the game "find it".
Lana does not know how to receive touch, this will improve over time. Snuggling and rough housing are out of the question.
Her new home must be comfortable with crating (with acceptable time frames) a dog as having free range of the home will regress her progress at this time.
Help Lana by sharing her story. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in fostering or adopting.
