P.J.'s Story...
P.J. is a great laid back cat. He is perfectly content to smell the roses and be brushed in the process. He certainly loves wet food. P.J. has never met a Hooman he never liked, kids or otherwise. This boy gets the 'All Around Awesome' cat award. P.J. has FIV so he will need to be the only cat in the home, live with non-aggressive FIV negative cats or be with other FIV+ cats. And he gets along well with the other FIV cats here. Either way, P.J. is one cat you don't want to pass up. With regular Vet check ups and a healthy lifestyle, P.J. can be your forever buddy for a long time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

P.J., a West Des Moines Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in West Des Moines, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in West Des Moines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Des Moines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Des Moines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Des Moines paves the way for another one to be saved.
