Alvin's Story...
These little chipmunks, oh we mean Doxie mixes, were pulled from the dreaded list today at county! They are in horrible shape! They are covered in fleas and loaded with parasites! They are recovering from scabies mange! As of tonight though they are flea free, received medical care and are well on their way to recovery in their awesome foster home! These boys will be ready for their forever homes in 3 weeks! They are 10 weeks old and each weigh 3.5 lbs! Despite the neglect they have faced they are still happy and loving puppies! They love to play and love other animals! They are utd, dewormed and will be altered before placement!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alvin, a Grand Bay Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
