Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gertrude came to us from Chicago Animal Control in late September. She had awful skin irritations and seemed so happy despite clearly being in pain. Naturally, we had to have her.
Once in our care, our vet advised that her skin was so bad due to untreated allergies so now, comfortable in a foster home with routine medicated baths and plenty of fish oil, she is thriving and has made a complete recovery! We've found that Gertie is SUCH a well behaved girl- dog friendly, cat friendly, and absolutely loves people. We've even discovered she is bilingual! She is slowly learning English commands (such as sit, paw, etc). Gertie's allergies can be maintained by keeping her on a fish diet (no chicken) and she will be just fine.
Gertie loves car rides so if you're looking for your next best friend that will join you on any adventure, look no further!
