Dozer's Story...
Dozer is a loveable nine week old pitbull mix. He has incredible brindle marking against a beautiful black coat. Dozer is a very laid back pup, he would do well in a family home with another dog or as an only dog, he's extremely smart, housebroken, crate trained and understands simple commands. Dozer will be neutered October 18th but we are accepting applications now. If you are interested in making Dozer part of your family please fill out an adoption application on our website www.sparkrescue.org thank you for considering a rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dozer, a Santa Barbara Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
