Shade-Adopted!'s Story...
Shade is a black Shepherd pup that was found as a stray with multiple wounds from being on the streets. She's very smart and a quick learner. Shade is still a little shy at first but when she gets comfortable she is a silly girl. She loves playing with tennis balls and will throw them in the air to catch them. She loves to snuggle and doesn't mind being on a leash. She is house and crate trained and we have begun teaching her a few commands such as sit, and paw.. She does well with people of all ages and plays well with adult dogs but needs work on playing nicely with puppies. Approx DOB 5/12/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shade-Adopted!, a Detroit Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
