THIS IS WIZARD….and he will sneak into your heart before you know it! This handsome, white/cream Lhasa with black tips, long eyelashes and a perpetual good temperament is an angel, despite what he has been through. Wizard was dumped in the Riverside Shelter with the worst ear infection affecting both ears….worst we’ve ever seen. He required a lateral ear ablation, but only one canal was removed so he can still hear. The pain he suffered was unfair and unkind of his previous home….and we have a feeling that Wizard was not treated so well there. :( He quivers when he is reprimanded with a harsh tone if he has had an accident, so while he will need training, he will need it done with sensitivity and love. Wizard can be a little possessive of his human with other dogs — he’ll just butt right in if he isn’t the center of attention! He would be fine with another dog and would like that, but he isn’t that playful — just for companionship because he doesn’t like to be alone (a few hours okay). Wizard just needs a family who will love him and work with him…a yard would be great for his training….but love is the most important factor in Wizard’s life. He will work his magic on you and your family….and everyone will live happily ever after. :)

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
