Meet Cooper! You can find his brother and his other companion on our webpage also (Chase and Celeste). They all 3 were confiscated form their past home by animal control for severe neglect. They came to us totally matted, flea ridden and emaciated. We had them shaved. got rid of the fleas, fully vetted them and now they are thriving and gaining weight in their foster home. They are all total darlings! They LOVE to snuggle, they are playful, love to go on walks and car dies and just want to be with you! Cooper is a little nervous of men at first but quickly warms up. He is doing very well on housebreaking. If you want a dogthat will adore you every moment of the day and is a world class snuggler - this dog is for you! He should be in a home where someone is home most of the time. He is neutered, current on vaccines and heart worm negative. His breed is our best guess. UPDATE (10/27/16): Cooper continues to do so well! If you want a lap dog, he is your guy! He is looking healthy and coming along so well! He is great on a leash and great in the car. Ideally he will have minimized If you would like to adopt him, please be prepared to continue to help him on his journey to wellness. He will need high quality food, vitamins, grooming and just like every dog, regular vet care. We cannot guarantee the breed bc we do not have papers.

About MAS Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We operate a small rescue organization that is determined to help unwanted shelter animals whose time has run out, and their destiny seems perilous. Maryland Animal Sanctuary & Rescue Organization is supported by a select few who have the same passionate desire to save as many shelter animals as possible. We are currently incorporated in the state of Maryland, and have been approved for Non-Profit status. Some of our animals come from far away, others come from local Maryland shelters, still others are displaced homeless animals found on the streets. All the animals are "fostered" out of volunteers' homes. They are socialized with children, other animals, and are exposed to normal family life. We do take each animal for a vet check, have them vaccinated, de-wormed etc... If an animal is 22 weeks or more, they will always be spayed/neutered. We require an adoption application, a signed contract and payment of the adoption fee. We will also do a 2 week follow-up check and a 6 month check-up including veterinarian follow-up on your new companion. If you are interested in adopting any of our furry four-legged friends, please visit www.masrescue.org for an adoption application. Please keep in mind: We will not ship animals, but will consider reasonable transport for the perfect home! The animals and I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for considering adoption from a rescue organization!
