Hi! So pleased to meet you. Lavender is my name and being friendly is my game! I'm a 3-year-old spayed female German Shepherd mix. I weigh about 56 pounds. I'm a total love bug with such a happy outgoing demeanor. I absolutely love every person I meet and I'm great with other dogs too. I also happen to be friendly with children and my caregivers think I'm potty trained, too. So there you have it -- best dog ever!
I'm sure you're wondering about my background. You're probably thinking, why on earth is such an amazing animal homeless? I personally feel the exact same way! So here's what my caregivers know about my past. In early September 2016, someone brought me the South Los Angeles pound saying they found me. The shelter employees quickly realized that I was already spayed and microchipped, so they thought my owner would surely come to find me. But about a month passed and nobody came. Being the optimistic pup that I am, I didn't let this get me down. I just kept smiling and wagging my tail, knowing that someday someone would see how special I am and take me home.
My happy personality caught CageFree's eye and they rescued me from the pound. I'm really enjoying all the love and hugs I get from my friends here at the rescue while I await my furever home. I am beyond excited to meet my new family and start the next stage of my life.
