Hazelnut's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hazelnut's Story...
Hazelnut is a sweet Hound mix puppy. She came to our rescue after her mom was killed by a car while she was trying to move her pups. We have estimated Hazel's birthday to be May 14, 2016.

Hazelnut is fun loving, playful, and sweet. She loves to be outside and run with her foster brother and human foster siblings. She is 99% housebroken and is crate trained. Hazel loves other dogs, cats, and people of all ages. We do recommend that she does not go to a home with any small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc) due to her being a hunting breed. We do require that Hazelnut's adoptive home has a fenced in yard and be enrolled in puppy classes.

If you are interested in Hazelnut, please contact us at info@rornfp.org. Please note, we do not have a building, so there are no viewing hours. Please email for an application as our volunteers may not be able to return your call promptly. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazelnut, a Oak Lawn Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd for sale in Oak Lawn, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Oak Lawn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Lawn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Lawn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Lawn paves the way for another one to be saved.
