Barney's Story...
Barney is a 4 month old boxer/pitbull mix weighing about 30lbs. He is dog/cat/kid friendly and currently lives with a 2 ½ year old male dog, 4 cats and 3 kids ages 13, 11 and 9. He is a super chill guy that likes nothing more than to lay by your side, watch you cook or chew on his bones and toys. He takes treats gently and is doing amazing with house training and crate training and walks nicely on a leash. He sleeps perfectly through the night whether curled up by your side in bed or in his crate and is a great passenger for car rides. He’s a very good boy who would make a great addition to any home…even though he sticks his tongue out at everyone!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Bergen County Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Bergen County, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Bergen County.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bergen County already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bergen County breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bergen County paves the way for another one to be saved.
