My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Polly is still in Louisiana with Looziana Basset Rescue but can be easily transported up to Putnam, CT using Rescue Road Trips. Polly is somewhere between 8 and 10 years old. Her adoption fee has been lowered to $200 because she is an older girl. The transport fee is an additional $185.
Polly is vaccinated, wormed, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. Please consider giving Polly a loving home to spend her golden years.
From the folks at the shelter, where she still is due to lack of foster homes:

Polly is a precious girl!! I love her!! She is between 8-10 years old, all shots, chipped, spayed and heartworm negative. She weighs 56 lbs.(she has a great zest for life)
She was found in a rural area with no identification. I feel sure she was loved and cared for.She gets so excited to come in shelter office and get out of her kennel. She loves people and attention.(but not demanding) She is housebroken and loves to be inside. She is full of life and doesn't act her age. She loves going on long walks and smells everything in her path. Adores car rides and likes to look out of window. She comes when you call her and minds very well.
She is fine with other dogs, but does not want them all over her. She is older and just wants her own space. She will play with them, but enough is enough.( I understand) So a home with too many dogs would not be good nor a home with young dogs.
