Rook's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rook's Story...
*Currently undergoing Heartworm treatment.

Rook is a 3 year old, 18 pound, energetic pup! He will win you over with his stunning good lucks and keep you entertained. Though he is energetic, he will settle down too and hang out on the couch.....you will probably be entertained by his odd, seemingly not so comfortable sleeping positions.

Rook is crate trained, potty trained, gets along with dogs, his foster cat sibling, AND rats....yes, rats (pet rats that is). He gets along with dogs, but can get nervous in new settings and situations, so please just make sure you are doing proper introductions with new animals. He is smart and loves to chase toys and balls. Rook also does NOT like to be left out! Going on a walk, please take him. Going on a car ride, please take him. Going to a friends house, please take him. He will most likely be offended if he is not invited.

Rook would do well with a family that enjoys letting their dog tag along. He is smart and would benefit from more training and maybe even some agility training! He is a snuggler in bed and loves giving kisses. He has become attached to his toys and would love to be showered with treats, toys, and love from a home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rook, a Courtland Borzoi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Borzoi for sale in Courtland, or seeking a Borzoi dog from a breeder in Courtland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Courtland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Courtland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Borzoi breeders who help with Borzoi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Courtland paves the way for another one to be saved.
