Cookie's Story...
Cookie is tutu cute with her smushy American Bulldog face and adorable underbite! A dog as cute as Cookie usually gets noticed right away, but Cookie has actually been here since Sept. 7th. Cookie is a bit shy out of her kennel and isn't a dog that bonds immediately with you. We think maybe this is turning potential adopters off, but PLEASE consider spend a little time with Cookie in a quiet area to get to know her better! At first, Cookie sniffed around and didn't interact with us a ton, although she did happily take treats from us. By the end of our time together, she was resting her head on our lap and almost falling asleep while we pet her. This sweet girl just wants a family to call her own that she can take time to get to know. Some dogs take a little extra time to warm up and that's okay. Hey, YOU don't run right up to every new person you meet right away, do you? ;-)

Cookie walks well on the leash and is a gentle dog, chill dog out of her kennel. She does well with her kennel mate and would love to meet your dog from home. Bring them in and we can help you with a meet and greet prior to adopting.

You can meet 3 yr old Cookie in C building at our West Valley Animal Care Center at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx., Az. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Cookie's $20 adoption fee includes spay, rabies certificate and County license. Cookie- A3821870

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Phoenix American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
