Here's what the humans have to say about me:
After years of being a loyal pet, sweet Margie Sue was surrendered to an over-crowded county shelter where she was just terrified. She's since been rescued and is doing great. She literally sang with excitement all the way from the shelter to her safe place. (see video)
Margie Sue loves to sunbathe and stroll around the yard in the warm morning sun. She likes to sleep covered up and knows how to cover herself up if you're too tired to tuck her in. All and all is just a sweet mature lady who would make a wonderful companion to someone who is looking for a loving sidekick.
Margie Sue is currently on a diet as she is pretty overweight for her frame. She was 45 lbs when surrendered to the shelter, but we're hoping to get her into the 35 lb range. A nice walking partner could sure help her along.
Age: 8 y/o
Weight: 45 lbs (should be 35 lbs)
Temperament: Gets along with people and other dogs; can be cat tested on request
Training: Crate and house-trained
Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative
