Facts about Pigpen

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 16FC17
  • Hair: Short
Pigpen and his brothers Linus and Charlie Brown arrived in late September, all three a bit frightened of us, but also curious enough to let us bestow our affections on them. Though Pigpen is still adjusting to the larger cat room environment, he is very fond of being snuggled by his human pals. When we need to move on to another kitty, we put him in a small kitty condo, where he waits patiently for us -- not running away or hiding, just waiting for more love. Like most older kittens who are just starting to learn how nice life with people can be, Pigpen will need a lot of love and a little patience as he adjusts in a new home. Older kittens like Pigpen usually adapt well as companions to older cats, children, and even dogs. They just need a little time.

Pigpen is about 7 months old, is box-trained, neutered, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee is $50 (cash or check only, please). For more information on Pigpen, or an adoption application, email, call the shelter at (401) 647-7200, or visit the shelter during regular hours: Tue, Wed, Fri 7 to 11 a.m., Thursday 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

About Scituate RI Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

THE SCITUATE ANIMAL SHELTER is a municipal facility under the supervision of Scituate Animal Control, a division of the Scituate, Rhode Island Police Department. We take in animals from Scituate and Foster and provide care until we can find good homes for them. We also socialize all cats and dogs who need such work in order to be ready for life in a home and with a family. The shelter staff and the volunteers will go to great lengths to find homes for all animals that we have at the shelter. Vet references are required for all potential adopters and decisions are made by our Animal Control Officers.
