Samson's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Samson's Story...
Samson is a 10-years-young, male, white, purebred Bichon-Frise who weighs approximately 10 lbs. He is quite active for his age and a real "momma’s boy." He is a very loving, sweet guy.

This breed is considered hypo-allergenic. If you have allergies, this breed is a good one to consider. See this link for info: http://www.akc.org/about/faq-allergies/

Samson came into Puppy Pals Rescue when his owner had to rehome him due to an abusive spouse. He is quite a spoiled little guy who loves to cuddle up next to you and watch TV or take a nap. We are trying to convert him from being fed from the table - which has been a challenge.

Samson has been neutered, has had all his shots updated, and has been micro-chipped. He came into PPR with a massive cyst on the top of his head which we had removed and sent away to be tested. We weren’t sure if this was cancer. The results came back negative! His hair is now growing back on the top of his head.

We were told that Samson was house-trained, but since coming to his foster home, we are still having problems with him spatting in the house. He is crate-trained and would keep his crate dry for up to 10 hours if necessary, but this is difficult for a little guy. So, we keep a belly band on him while he is in the house and he doesn’t seem to mind. If he was the only dog and someone was home with him to let him out every few hours… it might make a big difference.

Samson loves to jump up on the swing when his foster mom is outside on the glider. He truly is a loving companion who will make someone a wonderful friend for life.

Samson's ideal home would be a single or older female or older couple. He seems to prefer women. He loves to ride in the car and take walks.

For the right home situation, we might consider someone without a fence, but it needs to be someone for whom it is easy to physically walk him to go potty outside and be exercised.

Samson is an older dog, but he has lots of spunk and doesn’t act his age at all.

Adoption Donation Fee = $175.

If you have any questions, please contact Samson's foster mom at the link found at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Dogs_Samson1673.html. Fill out an application if you are interested in adopting him - you can find those at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Applications.html. (Email his foster home and let them know you applied so they can be sure the application is received!)

Samson just can't wait to find a forever home! Thanks!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samson, a Beavercreek Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Beavercreek, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Beavercreek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beavercreek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beavercreek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beavercreek paves the way for another one to be saved.
