My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy arrived at the shelter in early October with her sisters Violet and Sally. She is still a bit shy, but she does like to be held by her volunteer friends. She's just not sure yet if she wants us to put her down on the floor, preferring instead to be cuddled close and kissed gently. We have known many older kittens like Lucy, and we know that once you can hold them and bestow affection on them, adapting to a new home is merely a matter of time -- you just need to provide love and patience. Lucy will probably make a good transition in a home with another cat who needs a companion, or older children who understand that giving her a little time and love will make for a life of happiness with Lucy.

Lucy is about 7 months old, is box-trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee is $50 (cash or check only, please). For more information on Lucy, or an adoption application, email ClayvilleCritters@cox.net, call the shelter at (401) 647-7200, or visit the shelter during regular hours: Tue, Wed, Fri 7 to 11 a.m., Thursday 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A digital application can be downloaded by clicking the "Cat Adoption Form PDF" link below, filled in with Acrobat Reader (also available as a mobile app), and emailed to ClayvilleCritters@cox.net.
