Facts about Pancho

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Pancho (Panchito) and Lefty are about 9 to 10 weeks old now. We had a DNA test done on them last week, but it can take 2 to 4 weeks for the results to come in. Pancho and Lefty only a couple of days old when they were orphaned and left at ACS here in San Antonio. We bottle fed them back to health and they are doing absolutely amazing. They now both eat hard dry food and play all day long. Lefty has a left front limb deformity. He seems to be doing very well as he can make it all the way to the other side of the house and chases all of the other dogs that have four legs. Pancho has a deformity in both front limbs, but that does not seem to slow him down. Lefty is the larger one and he is much more rambunctious than his brother Poncho. Poncho is the mama's boy of the two. Although Pancho still plays and roughhouses just like any other puppy, he is much more sweet and gentle about it. They love to play together and certainly would love to stay together, but they also do a great job on their own and have their own personalities, so we think it would be perfectly fine to separate them. We will be putting these boys up for adoption in a couple more weeks. I am thinking as they get older they look more and more like dachshund mixes. Pancho weighs approximately 3 1/2 pounds and will most likely be around 16 lbs fully grown. Lefty weighs approximately 4 1/2 lbs and will be somewhere around 20 when he's grown. That is purely a guess. Both boys are short and stout. They're used to being in their pen and are perfectly fine when you put them in the puppy pen to go to work or run errands. They sleep in their puppy pen at night without a peep. Seeing as they've been in foster care since they were only a couple days old, they have the routine pretty much down, and they're very well behaved for such little puppies. We would love to see these boys go to wonderful homes. If you would like to adopt either or both, please go apply at
