Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little cutie recently came in from an upstate animal shelter. Kahuna and his sister were the only survivors of their litter after they came down with parvo. Thankfully, little Kahuna didn't get the deadly virus but he did suffer a broken femur. We have very limited information about them but here is what we do know. Kahuna is about 8-12 weeks old and little for his age at just under 7 pounds right now. We can't be completely positive what breed he is because he is so small for a Doberman but the vet thought his growth may have been stunted because of poor nutrition. He is not the right body style for a miniature pinscher but he could be a german pinscher or a small doberman. Without a clear history we cannot know for sure how large he will be when fully grown but he might catch up in size a bit with good nutrition and care. He is a healthy eater, active, social but a little on the shy side. His femur has already been healing by itself for 4 weeks so no surgery is needed and you would never even know it by looking at him run around. The vet feels that he should grow normally and not have any significant issues but it should be monitored as he grows. He is in a foster home in southern California getting some TLC while we search for a loving forever home.
