I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
My name is Rafael, Rafi for short. I used to live in a shoe store in Harlem where I was the life of the party, greeting all the customers. They called me "el bonito" (the pretty one :)) Because I was so popular, the nice customers would give me all kinds of treats--ham and chicken were my favorite! It was delicious, but the doctor says it was bad for me and could be the reason I have something like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) I got very sick--I couldn't eat anything, not even treats! I'm on the mend, but I can't go back to living in the shoe store, where people would sneak me people food. I need a loving home where I can get food, and meds (probably steroid pill once a day) for my IBD. I would be so grateful to have your love and commitment to keeping me healthy. In return, I would be the life of the party in my new home--believe me, I'm a barrel of fun when I feel healthy. Meow!
We are a group of volunteers who help community cats and rescue friendly stray cats and kittens. We are also working on initiatives to help reduce animal abandonment in Upper Manhattan!
Come Meet Our Pets...
We have many cats with fosterers located throughout the five boroughs but also frequently go to adoption events. Just shoot us an email and we'll arrange a playdate with any kitty!
Our Adoption Process...
We typically send you a contract. After you complete and return it, we check your references and if everything is clear, schedule a time to do a home visit and then unite you with your future kitty! We often ask for a small nominal fee to cover the cost of care for our cats.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
