Rollie's Story...
Gypsy, Onyx and Rollie were rescued from a hoarding situation when they were about 4 weeks old. They were put in our jail dog program (PADDLE Program - Prisoners and Dogs Developing Life Experiences). The pups are raised by a female trustee and they are with them 24/7 so they work on their training and socialization while we finish their vetting and get them adopted. The pups from this program are very social because they are with people all the time. They also interact with the other dogs in the program so they are good with dogs!

These little ones are about 9 weeks old and only about 3 pounds each so they will be little! They are in the program in TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add one of these sweet pups to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rollie, a Southington Miniature Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Southington, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
