Please read our eligibility requirements and apply on our website: www.ildoberescue.com/adopt. After application is submitted, additional inquiries can email dobes@ildoberescue.com
Monet is as pretty as a picture. She is a petite, young (1-2 years old) girl who was pulled from a high-volume shelter in Tennessee thanks to good ol’ social media. Because of her skin issues, she was headed for certain doom, but she is safe with us now and coming out of her shell. She seems to be dealing with a skin condition that affects a lot of blue Dobermans (color dilution alopecia) that can cause problems when they aren’t taken care of properly. We are investigating her skin further to make sure that’s all that’s going on. Because Monet didn’t receive quality food (possibly not much food at all) her skin developed an aggravated infection to the extent where her face and ears are minimally swollen. She’s currently on antibiotics and receiving medicated baths. We are confident that she’ll be looking gorgeous soon! Amazingly, none of this has hindered her spirit and she has the sweetest personality. She loves everyone and meets them with lots of kisses and nuzzles. She loves to run and play, but she has a manageable energy level. Since she just came into our program, she has not been mingled with cats, dogs, or children yet, but she is happy to see the other dogs around her. She is very respectful with people and doesn't jump, so she might be okay with kids 7 and up.
