Mo Matchup's Story...
Mo is a tiny little 8 year old guy, just over 7 lbs lbs. full of personality and spunk. He is extremely friendly and gets along with all people and other dogs. He’s house trained and doesn’t mark in the house! He likes to sleep in a large puppy pen on a comfy bed. Mo is happy go-lucky and appears not to have any separation anxiety or any obvious quirks. He likes to bark at all the usual things the other dogs bark at when they are all outside in the yard, but he prefers to spend most of his time inside snoozing. His tail wags constantly, and he’s just adorable all the way around. He's getting over a skin infection due to a horrible flea infestation and receiving some much needed dental care. Mo has many good years left to share his companionship and unconditional love. All he needs now is a family to call his own and his future will certainly be bright!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mo Matchup, a Houston Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Houston, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
