Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little man is Ryder Redshirt. He is 8 - 10 months old, red, smooth and as mini as they come at just 10 lbs. He's an adorable "dachs-huahua," that is, a dachshund/chihuahua mix but looks mostly dachshund until his ears perk up and they stand straight up from the sides of his head! Ryder was an owner surrender to a shelter west of Houston. The local rescues were all full so when they reached out to DREAM, of course we said yes. He is a tad skittish but each day he settles down more and is understanding that he doesn’t need to be afraid of things like sounds or people coming in the room. Ryder loves other dogs and is very playful. He doesn’t mark and uses the doggie door. He really likes my husband, and will take any and all opportunities to crawl into his lap, especially on the couch! His favorite spot is draped around your neck on the back of the couch pillow. Ryder is a sweetheart, and very friendly. He doesn't act aggressively over toys, food or anything. A busy home with alot of young children would not be a choice environment for Ryder because the commotion would probably frighten him. He definitely needs a yard to run and play in and a dog buddy to hang with too.
