Viktor Veer's Story...
Viktor is a timid but very sweet boy. He loves to play with the other dogs; and especially enjoys a good game of tug-of-war. Fortunately he doesn't pay any attention to the cat. Viktor sleeps all night long in a doggy bed in his foster mom's room. He is very good about his house training and will use puppy pads if they are made available. He is not a barker, so he would do well in an apartment environment. He is about 6 months old and weighs just 8 lbs. He loves it when you pick him up and scratch his ears. Viktor would make a great companion pet for adults and children alike. Meet him and play with him and you will fall madly in love with this shy little fellow!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Viktor Veer, a Houston Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Houston, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
