Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fluff is a 10 year old, West Highland Terrier mix that is sure to make someone a loving companion. She is a laid back sweet, sweet girl who loves everyone and just wants to be loved in return. (At times I even refer to her as “Lovie”.) There is nothing she likes better than to be curled up on your lap while you pet her and will “nose you” to continue if you stop before she has had her fill. She loves to be held and to be perfectly honest; with all that “fluff” there’s no need for a throw blanket because she makes a great lap warmer!
Fluff is a lover not a fighter, gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes respecting their space, toys and food. If one of the other household dogs steals her bed, she politely moves on and lets them have it. Fluff would do well as a senior companion, in an adult household or in a home with older children since she is older and not into playing very much. Younger children may prove to be too rough, rowdy and active for her lifestyle.
She is house trained. Her general health is good but she is missing several teeth due to dental neglect. She has been recently spayed, is up to date on all her shots, heart worm tested with negative results, undergone tooth extractions and given a general physical all with good results that indicate good health for a dog her age.
Regular grooming is an added expense that must be considered if you are interested in adopting Fluff as her nails need clipping and her hair will mat if not properly and thoroughly brushed. She likes the attention, will sit well and doesn’t mind being brushed but professional grooming is recommended to keep her looking her best.
If you are looking for a lovable companion and willing to take a change on giving this girl a loving home for her senior years please call her foster mom: Cindy @ 708-655-9620, leave your name, number and the dog that you are interested in (I currently have 4 fosters) and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. The adoption fee is $200.
