My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look at this stud muffin!
Phoenix would be the ideal companion for an active family or someone who enjoys a daily run. He is an active, playful dog but is content to lie in front of the TV with you at the end of the day.
He knows all of the basics and with his alert, inquisitive nature, he is quick to learn new things.
Phoenix would love siblings of the two- and four-legged kind, even kids. None of the feline variety – there’s too much fun to be had chasing them!
STATS
14 months old (a/s 1/7/17)
45 lbs - compact guy
knows sit, down, wait, recall, place, shake
potty trained
crate trained
LOVES to play fetch

Phoenix just celebrated his 1 year birthday (on 1/7/17). He knows sit, down, wait, & place. Phoenix is potty trained and crate trained (uses a doggie door). He loves everyone, including kids. Likes other dogs but gets excited when playing so we're working on that. Phoenix LOVES playing ball! He lives with 2 adult male dogs. We're not sure about cats. He has seen cats outside and is interested but does not take chase. He loves to cuddled too!

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you can visit our website at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and fill out an adoption application (from your home computer). Please allow at least 24 to 48 hours for a reply.

The adoption donation for Phoenix is $200.

Interested in meeting Phoenix or any of our available pooches? Complete and submit our adoption application online at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and we'll be in touch!
