My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calling all animal lovers with an empty bed...Butterfinger is your man! Pulled from ISO (isolation) at the local kill shelter, Butterfinger originally came to us in sad shape. Severe ear infections, hair loss, covered in fleas...we have all that fixed now and this guy is now a healthy, happy boy! Butterfinger is crate trained, but better yet, he is completely housetrained! Butterfinger is also now trained to a doggy dog! This 16 pound guy gets along with everyone and if another animal is mean to him, he comes racing up your lap to bury his face (he doesn't like mean dogs and runs!)! Butterfinger is 4 years old and super low maintenance! He adores attention, is good in the house, good in a fenced yard for playtime and is currently sleeping in the bed every night with his foster (please do not apply if you do not allow dogs on your furniture/in your bed). Butterfinger is looking for someone who has lots of time to spend with him, give him love, buy him toys and spoil him! If you have been looking for an adorable, low maintenance cuddle buddy, then look no further! Contact us at info.caresga@gmail,.com to request an adoption application or you can fill one out at www.caresga.org. We do adopt up north and all over so please just ask. A vet reference is required to ensure great homes for our pets (this means you must own/have owned a dog/cat so we can verify their level of care). $350 adoption fee

The adoption fee includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip is included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
