My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sam...
Sammy is a 2 year old male Lab/Beagle mix. He weighs around 44 pounds and is a charming, playful guy. He wants to be a lap dog! He follows his foster mom constantly, a loyal, loving shadow full of kisses and hugs. He is a beautiful dog-pictures just don't do him justice! A fenced yard would be ideal.

Sam was give up by his owner-he was abandoned to no fault of his own at a rural pound and found himself on the euthanization list. He was full of fleas, thin and hungry, and longing for compassion and love. Fur-get Me Not Rescue stepped up to help him. He is now loving life in his foster home where he can be inside and a part of the family-it seems that maybe Sam has been kept alone and outdoors in the past, and he is ever so grateful to be in a social setting where he can be mentally stimulated, exercised, and loved. Sam is a well mannered, super sweet boy. He is timid at first, but once he warms up he is eager to share his hugs and happiness. Sam has very soulful, honey colored eyes and when he looks at you- a reflection of nothing but love and admiration for his human is evident. He would be an excellent, faithful friend.

Sam does great with other dogs and cats. He is house trained and crate trained. He is neutered, has been updated on all vaccines, heartworm tested (negative) and is on monthly heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, so his adoption fee is 250. As a non profit rescue, all adoption fees go directly toward the funding of the care of the rescue animals.
