Sam's Story...
Meet Sam. He is one shy sweetheart on the lookout for his loving forever home. Sam is looking for someone who will be in it for the long haul since cats can live to be 15-20 years old. He is a timid boy that will need lots of playtime, snuggle-time, and socialization to be a happy boy. Sam came to us with his brother and another older kitten and he would love to go home with one of them. Otherwise, he'll do best going into a home with a laid-back cat/kitten that can be a companion to him. Dogs are rather scary to him but an unbelievably mellow on that won't chase him will likely be okay. He also needs a home with older children or adults only who will be patient with him while he settles in. If you would like to meet Sam, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
