Ryder's Story...
This adorable puppy is Ryder and he is looking for his forever family. Ryder is super loving and affectionate. He loves to throw his arms around you and smother you in puppy kisses. Ryder did not get proper training or socialization in his previous home so he is unsure of new people and doesn't have great manners. He will need either an adult only home or a home with respectful teenagers as he was nipping the smaller children in his previous home. Ryder will also need to be signed up for positive reward based classes to help him with his confidence and teach him some much needed manners. Ryder will need an active family who can commit to giving him lots of physical and mental stimulation, which will keep him healthy and happy. Ryder would be okay living with another dog that he can play with. A very confident might be okay. If you are interested in Ryder, please fill out an application at the front desk. We will be accepting applications and calling back appropriate homes to meet him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryder, a Bellingham Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
