Rafiki's Info...

I am already neutered and up to date with shots.

Rafiki's Story...
At best guess Rafiki is a Border Collie, Brittany Spaniel or Pointer mix. He is about 1 1/2 years old. Rafiki is great with the cats in foster care and good with the other dogs though he can be a little protective of his sister Amara whom he was abandoned with at the dog park. The abandonment and respective stay at the Animal Shelter was somewhat traumatic for him but he is recovering and gaining trust quickly. He is house trained and crate trained. He'll make a great walking companion as he walks well on a leash. For an adoption application contact Mary by email: maryhsow@gmail.com

The adoption fee is $110 which covers all the vet work that has been done including a heartworm test and for puppies their spay/neuter when old enough. For more information or an adoption application please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rafiki, a North Wilkesboro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in North Wilkesboro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in North Wilkesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Wilkesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Wilkesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Wilkesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
