My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SPECIAL REDUCED ADOPTION FEE FOR SENIOR MONTH!
Baby is a precious senior 25 lb. female Terrier small mixed breed. She has an ultra soft coat, but it wasn't always like that. Baby came into the league as a stray who wandered into a veterinarian office. She had obviously been on the street for a while, but all attempts to find her family failed. She was malnourished, had a skin condition and as no surprise, an urinary tract infection. But you should see her now!
Beautiful Baby has gained weight and her ribs no longer show; her skin condition was treated with weeks of special baths, and now her coat is soft and silky and some unsightly skin tags were removed; and her UTI was treated and she is doing great. The veterinary has determined, given her age, she will likely need to be maintained on Proin, but that is a relatively inexpensive drug that on average, is less than $10 a month.
Baby, who is affectionately called Grandma in her foster home, is super sweet and loves to lay in her foster mom's arms and have belly rubs. She is content to go to sleep in your arms, if given the chance. But she's no wallflower. One of her favorite things to do is to go for a car ride. She'd make a great RV dog!
Baby is dog social, if the other dog is respectful of her, and she seems indifferent to cats, however is not living with a cat, but we think it would be a non issue. She is crate trained, but she doesn't touch anything if left loose.
She is fine around children, and loves their attention, but we suggest a retired family lifestyle would be more fitting for her.
She is current on all her vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

Are you interested in adopting Baby or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).

We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application for Baby.

Thanks for thinking adoption!
