Onyx (in CT)'s Story...
Onyx (in CT) is 6 months old. She came to us with a brother & 3 sisters. She's the smallest. She at first appears to be all black, but the very tip of her tail is white & she has a little white on her belly. She's very friendly, enjoyed being held for several minutes. She's SO friendly, in fact, that it was hard to get good photos of her because she kept coming towards the photographer & getting too close to the camera! She had no reaction whatsoever to dogs that came near her cage on the table at our adoption event.

She has been tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) & FeLV (feline leukemia virus) & found to be negative, and is already spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Onyx (in CT), a Manchester Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manchester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Manchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
