Bella was displaced during the Louisiana floods and sadly no one reclaimed her. She ended up in a shelter where she was treated for a back wound and received stitches. Sadly the shelter was already full to capacity and had no room for Bella. It was determined that she was a senior, as she looks like she dipped her face into a sugar bowl, but don't let that fool you....she has plenty of pep in her step! Our vet guesses she is more like 5>6 yrs old judging by her teeth. Seeing her sweet face on the many emails we received from the flood zone, we decided she deserved a second chance, therefore she was loaded onto a transport along with over 100 other lucky puppers headed to upstate NY. We met her in Tennessee where she happily jumped into the SUV, to finish the last leg of the journey to Hendersonville NC, occasionally resting her head on my shoulder as if to say "thanks" She is so very sweet and loving, has goofy moments and we intended that she live out her days here, but sadly, she does not like cats, and the cats DO NOT LIKE HER! She will happily greet other dogs, but is of a dominant nature (bossy) and therefore would probably do better as the only child or especially only female. ....she LOVES attention.....is very much a people person dog and will give you grief if you stop giving her a butt scratch before she is done! 77lbs House trained, spayed, UTD on all shots including rabies and micro-chipped, she will happily wander the fenced yard and find a sunny spot to snooze or chew on her marrow bone......until you pick up the leash.....and there's no sign of old age then!! She walks very well on the leash and is well behaved. Give us a call, and come meet this beautiful Southern Belle, you won't regret it!!
