My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scarlett is one of those dogs who keeps getting overlooked, even though she is a wonderful catch. We think Scarlett is a mix of breeds possibly Labrador and Vizsla. She was born around February 11, 2012 and she weighs approximately 60 pounds. She’s a beautiful red brindle color.

Scarlett has a lot of energy and loves to run around in the yard at the boarding facility where she bunks. She really doesn't care for being in a crate and you don't have to worry about putting her in one because she is very clean and well potty-trained. If you need a running or hiking partner then Scarlett is for you! If you give her a treat she will take it very gently from your hand. She is very smart and knows several commands, chases after toys that you throw, hops like a bunny when she gets excited, and likes to play keep-away.

Scarlett is a little dog selective but she likes most dogs. She kisses the pig and ignores the cat at the facility where she is boarding. As far as her human companions, she is affectionate with but not clingy. She has not spent time around children. She is up to date with her vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

**Scarlett is a member of our Continuing Care program which means her adoption fee is waived for an approved applicant. In addition we offer a reimbursement of $250 annually for veterinary expenses, for up to 5 years after the adoption date.

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

Please apply to adopt or foster online at www.corridorrescue.org.

Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
