Bravo is fostered in Urbandale IA through United Yorkie Rescue
Bravo is estimated to be six years old and weighs 9 lbs. He came to United Yorkie Rescue in September 2016, from a shelter. He was most likely left at a shelter due to health issues, which have been resolved. While in the shelter, he showed some aggression. However, in the months he has been in a foster home environment, his behavior is much better. Due to showing aggressive behavior at the shelter, UYR was asked to take over his care. Bravo's forever home will need to be close to foster mom's home, a local adoption. As Bravo's new to our rescue, and has had some issues we're taking time to evaluate him and work through any behavioral issues he may have. At this time grooming has been the only 'challenge' identified. To find out how Bravo is doing, or to complete an application, go to United Yorkie Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Process and Conditions
Please read the following carefully:
Completing an online application request is the first step in the adoption process. The placement process includes Personal and Vet Reference checks, and a home visit. The home visit may include bringing the foster dog to interact with you, your family, and any other pets. Your responses and your home situation will be evaluated in relation to those of other applicants and will take into consideration the foster dog’s needs in a forever home. If you are approved, there will be an adoption agreement that you will sign at the time ownership is transferred and you will pay an adoption fee. In order to adopt a UYR foster dog, you must be over the age of 25 and financially able to provide for a dog’s vetting and care.

Adoption fees for our foster dogs are set based on the age, health, conformity to breed standard, and behavior/needs of the dog. Adoption fees typically range between $100-$700 and are not negotiable; the adoption fee rarely covers the costs of vetting and rehabilitating the foster dog. If you wish to learn more about how our adoption fees are established, click here. Adoption fees are not considered donations and therefore are not tax deductible.

Out-of-State Adoptions
Out-of-state or long distance adoptions may be permitted in some situations at the discretion of the foster home and team leader. Please note that UYR does not ship dogs via air cargo. Adopters are responsible for traveling to the foster dog’s home, either by car or plane, to pick up the dog. Some airlines permit dogs to travel with an individual in the cabin as carry-on baggage. You will need to purchase a pet ticket and pay for a health certificate if required by the airline or state. All these expenses are above and beyond the adoption fee. Before completing the online adoption application for a dog located outside your state of residence, please email the foster home to determine if an out-of-state adoption would be considered.

If you understand and agree to the conditions listed above, have confirmed that the dog of interest is located near to you, and you wish to proceed with your application, please click here to be redirected to our online adoption application.
