Duke's Story...
Duke is about 10 months old (the vet agreed with estimation of age). We were told he is an American Bull dog and Great Dane Mix. It's about 65 lbs. He is crate trained and house broken. He's very very sweet and loves to cuddle. He sometimes thinks he's a lap dog and will sit on you. He is very mild in temper and will just lay in the kitchen while I cook and doesn't beg for food. He is a very happy dog and always seems like he's smiling. He knows his name and how to sit but that's as far as we've gotten. When he's outside he likes to run around so a fence would be ideal. He's being fostered with two other smaller dogs and does great when new dogs come over. He's still a puppy and likes to chew so we give him chew toys or bones a lot. He would make a great family dog. He is not cat tested so I don't know how he would do with cats. Duke is currently in a foster home so please contact us if you wish to meet Duke.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a O Fallon American Bulldog/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Great Dane for sale in O Fallon, or seeking a American Bulldog/Great Dane dog from a breeder in O Fallon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in O Fallon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a O Fallon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Great Dane breeders who help with American Bulldog/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in O Fallon paves the way for another one to be saved.
