Filbert's Story...
Hi there I'm Filbert but my foster mom calls me Bert the brindle. I'm a happy go lucky boxer puppy who is living it up in my foster home. As of October 17th I'm 13 weeks old. I love hanging out with my 3 year old brother and I'm incredibly gentle with him.I love playing with him in the ball pit, but equally enjoy our daily naps together. I do a really good job letting my foster mom and dad know when it is time to go outside and I don't have accidents in the house. I walk great on a leash and love going on adventures with my foster family. I sleep in a dog bed in my foster parent bedroom and I don't make a peep throughout the night. I went to my first adoption event a few days ago and my tail did not stop wagging the entire time. I love meeting new people and cannot wait to meet my forever family. All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Filbert, a Chicago Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
