Happy's Story...
Looking for a feline companion who is lively, loves attention, and always up for a game or two (especially if it involves lasers)? If so, then you should meet Happy! Happy is just over a year old, but he still has all the energy and curiosity of a kitten. He has a blast playing with his toys and discovering everything about his home, but his favorite thing by far is a little love and attention from his person/people. He is currently in a foster home that has several dogs and one other cat. He might have been a little intimidated by the dogs at first (4 is a lot if you've never seen one before!), but he is slowly coming around to all of them. He will make an excellent companion and addition to any family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy, a Burlington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Burlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
