Palmer's Story...
Palmer is my favorite here right now! We were called when he showed up out of the woods at a fire/rescue station on Monteagle mountain near Palmer, TN. The poor little guy was extremely undernourished and covered in ticks. We sent him to a vet clinic till we found room for him and to be sure he did not break with a virus. On the 12th day he broke with Rocky Mtn spotted fever but after treatment he made a full recovery. It took a little while for his immune system to get strong enough to continue his vaccine protocol so he he now close to 5 months old. He is sweet and calm for a puppy. He is smart and affectionate, a real snuggler and loves other dogs and people. Palmer is up to date on puppy shots, neutered, microchipped and ready for his forever home. He deserves something special, for sure! Palmer has hair a little longer and softer than a lab and he weighs close to 30 lbs. If you would like to give this special dog the home he deserves, PLEASE contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Palmer, a Hagerstown Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
