Finn's Story...
This 18-month old 79-pound youngster is an Anatolian Shepherd mix.

We're just learning about this handsome boy, and we'll report in as we learn more. We do know that Anatolian Shepherds were bred to be hardy guard dogs rather than herding dogs. We've found that Finn gets along with other dogs at the shelter -- curious and willing to engage in activity.

Due to his size, we recommend that any children in his new family be older

Want to meet Finn? Please call the kennel at (503) 981-2570 to schedule a visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Woodburn Anatolian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Woodburn, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Woodburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
