Adoption fee is $600 covers spay/neuter, shots, worming, bordetella and microchip. You also get 30 day free pet insurance by PetFirst. This dog didn't come free to us, we bought them from a family who had these babies outside in yard, thats why their adoption fee is higher. Coming to our rescue they have an opportunity to find an incredible loving family and happiness for life instead of living and produce more dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Wiggles, a Auburn Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Auburn, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Auburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Auburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Auburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Auburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
