Smith's Story...
SMITH is a young tan and white Boxer mix male who was against the ropes when he was found as a stray in Troy, TN. He was not claimed by an owner, so he was rescued in order to save his life. He has been vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. The vet estimates that he is 2 years old and he weighs 56 pounds. He tested negative for heartworm. This healthy, handsome dog is ready to find his foster or forever home. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Smith if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care he has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smith, a Union City Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Union City, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
